Scholarship Program
Alaska Farm Bureau will award up to two $2,000 scholarship(s) to a student pursuing an agricultural or natural resource field through college, trade school or vocational training.
The program is available to students already enrolled in a college, trade school or in vocational training, as well as graduating high school seniors. This is a one-time scholarship.
About the Bruce Willard Scholarship
Bruce Willard was born July 24, 1935, in Oakfield, Wisconsin and lived in Homer Alaska since 1946. He was a true Alaskan. He homesteaded with his wife Linda in 1959, was a commercial fisherman, big game guide, company commander of the local National Guard, a longshoreman and a cattle rancher. He was on the board of directors of the Alaska Farm Bureau and a strong supporter of Alaska agriculture.
How to Apply
The application period for 2022 is now open. Applications are due no later than April 29, 2022 via email to Amy Seitz.
