    Mission and Vision:

Our chapter is committed to providing valuable information to our members and the broader community on agricultural issues, while promoting education on best practices in farming and land stewardship. We actively support youth involvement in agriculture by partnering with 4-H and FFA programs and contributing through donations to their activities and development.

We collaborate with other Farm Bureau chapters to advance agricultural policy at the state level, as well as within our local borough and city governments when needed. Through these efforts, we work to ensure that the voice of agriculture is represented and supported across Alaska.

Our Program and Education Committee coordinates monthly meetings that feature knowledgeable speakers presenting on timely and relevant topics. This year’s topics have included irrigation, marketing, carbon farming, the Certified Naturally Grown program, and FSA programs and funding opportunities. We welcome and encourage community members to attend these meetings as part of our commitment to outreach and education.

In addition, we support our local fair through sponsorship, donations, and a community booth, using this opportunity to connect with the public and promote awareness of local agriculture.
